Maximilian Nagl returns in Honda colours for 2014, riding the Honda CRF450R for a second year. He joined the Honda stable for the 2013 season, marking a return to Honda machinery for the first time since his schoolboy days.
The German star from Weilheim is a proven talent, taking his first MX GP victory in just his second season in 2008 and finishing runner-up in the MX1 series in 2009. Max secured three podiums last season having recovered from a pre-season hand injury, before being struck down by a virus that meant he missed the final four rounds of the season. Returning for the Motocross of Nations, he finished a strong fourth in the final race.
Max began riding at the age of five years old and won his first race just three years later. In 2000 aged 13 he won the German 85cc national title followed by national ADAC championship wins in 2004 and 2006 before making the jump to the premier category.
With 49 Grand Prix podiums under his belt in the top class, Max is certainly a force to be reckoned with and starts this season confident of bringing all the elements for more success together in 2014.
